The new must-have for the upcoming season: a sporty summer tyre for changeable conditions. With the new Ventus evo, premium tyre manufacturer Hankook is presenting a game-changing ultra-high-performance tyre. This tyre marks a new industry standard, combining outstanding wet grip with impressively low rolling resistance and high mileage. A perfect example of AI-assisted development, the Hankook Ventus evo meets both the requirements for sporty performance and the desire for the highest possible level of uncompromising safety with its balanced character.
High standards for mixing processes in production
“With the fourth generation of the Ventus evo, we are setting new standards,” emphasises Klaus Krause, Vice President and Head of Europe Technical Center at Hankook. “We decided early on to leverage AI in the development of tyre mixtures and were able to successfully transform the laboratory results into high quality industrial processes. Today, we’re seeing the benefits of that effort. With its innovative mixture ratio, the Ventus evo overcomes traditional trade-offs, delivering uncompromising excellence in performance, safety, and mileage.”
In the highly complex mixing process, the Hankook engineers succeeded in perfectly distributing the silica content in the tyre compound, which is crucial for wet grip. As a result, the Ventus evo offers a superior driving experience, even during summer downpours. Wide drainage grooves ensure good evacuation of water and, in combination with the optimised tyre contact area, reduce the risk of aquaplaning. Extra-rigid sidewalls and tread blocks ensure stability during cornering and shorten the dry braking distance by six per cent compared to the tyre’s predecessor.
Despite the high grip, the Ventus evo achieves low rolling resistance thanks to the innovative material mix, thereby reducing fuel consumption. Mileage is also positively impacted, with a 32 per cent increase compared to the predecessor tyre in combination with the high block rigidity, making the Ventus evo an excellent choice from an economic point of view.
Available in 94 sizes for a particularly wide range of vehicles in 2025
Like the version for sports utility vehicles, the Ventus evo SUV, the new tyre is already being used by premium original equipment partners. With the start of the upcoming summer season, the new Ventus evo and Ventus evo SUV will be available in stores in 58 sizes. By the end of next year, the product will be available in the following line-up: 94 sizes from 17 to 23 inches in widths from 205 to 325 in the 65 to 30 series and with speed indexes from V to (Y).
