The software, which was soft-launched with several UK-based key fleet customers last September, will be offered as a value-added service to all truck and bus customers contracted to the brand.
A cloud-based system, it allows all work carried out by Giti Service Partners at operators’ depots and roadside to be visible to the fleets 24/7 including job sheets, service items, casing control and costs.
This is supported by immediate invoicing features and help desk support.
Mercury works in conjunction with Giti Fleet, the tyre manufacturer’s end-to-end complete tyre solutions service designed to optimise operation costs and enhance overall business competitiveness. This includes products, maintenance, quality monitoring, retreading, technical support and 24-hour roadside assistance.
To ensure Giti Service Partners and fleets have mobile access to clear, up-to-the-minute information the newly launched Giti Fleet Check App (G-App) offers vehicle fleet check management controls and reporting at various levels.
Giti will also introduce its Retorque App (RT-App) which allows transport and fleet managers to view live updates to ensure retorque policy is being followed.
Tony McHugh, TBR Sales and Marketing Director UK at Giti Tire, said: “We are a mid-market truck and bus manufacturer offering value-added fleet services comparable with the premiums.
“The Mercury fleet management programme has been in development for two years and active with several UK-based key fleet customers for 10 months, and all of them have utilised the system to their operational and economic benefits. A proven track record is there to present.
“Add to the mix an excellent portfolio of truck and bus tyres, including the new Giti GSR236 Combi Road and Giti GSR237 Combi Road steer tyres, a proven retread programme through Genesis and a total fleet management solution and we have all bases covered.
“Giti now has to be on the shortlist as truck and bus tyre partner of choice for every fleet across the country.”
