Initially available in size 385/65R22.5 – with 265/70R19.5 planned for quarter four – the tyre is designed for rugged working sites, heavy loads, mountainous and winding roads, rough terrains and has limited off-road capacity.
The Giti GTR956 HD will sit alongside the Giti GTR955 Combi Road in the trailer portfolio, with the new pattern having an added emphasis in robustness and chunking resistance.
The results are achieved through a reinforced structure and newly developed tread compound designed to work in severe regional conditions and heavy duty operations.
Solid and wide tread shoulders delivery durability and competitive mileage, especially in rough working sites and during difficult vehicles maneuvers, while longitudinal zig-zag tread grooves ensure effective water drainage, high grip characteristics in all weather conditions and reduced stone trappings.
The tyre carries the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
Antonio Palummo, TBR Senior Engineer – Europe for Giti Tire, said: “The implementation of the
GTR956 HD provides a reliable solution for highly demanding regional usage applications, with the required enhanced robustness in both the tread and casing areas requested by our fleet customers.
“The tyre is designed to complement the GTR955 in applications where mixed-service properties are required.”
